What do we value about Georgetown that we don't want to lose?
What must change?
Looking at the future, what do we believe we owe our students?
What could it look like to expand the formal boundaires of education?
Georgetown University's Vice Provost for Education Randy Bass will lead participants through a lab exercise modeled on an undergraduate design course to explore challenges facing higher education.
The Future(s) Design Lab will pick a point in the future, define the features of that world, and create a "Future University" that will most effectively produce leaders of industry and society.
You’d think HootSuite’s Vancouverties don’t know anything about tacos–especially in Austin. But thanks to the woodsy surf town of Tofino, B.C. and their delicious taco truck Tacofino, we have heard of tacos. And mint slushies.
Come hang out with us and other rad HootSuite users. Eat a couple of fish tacos. Have a beer or mint slushy. We’ll be chilling by the SPF 1,000.
Join us for an open discussion about HootSuite, social media marketing, where it’s going, and how you’re going to move with it. It’s going to be fresh. We promise.

You and a buddy each climb inside one of the beasts, and use a thumb-triggered button and two independent joysticks to activate the pneumatic-powered, tire-tread-fisted arms, while a Honda gas engine powers the hidden wheels, letting you float like a tank showing SXSW and the wlrd what you're made of.
(Please note this a core conversation hosted at SXSW and you will need a conference badge to attend this!)
The last year has seen an explosion of examples of women helping women—in business. From women founding companies at 1.5 times the rate of men, to businesses specifically focused on helping women navigate their careers and build their own companies, to the national conversation around workplace flexibility, leaning in and leaning out! It’s an important trend that seems to be hitting its stride, with the potential to tip the scales toward a flexible workplace culture that will ultimately allow ALL businesses -- both small and large -- hire and retain top talent.
Presenters Stacey Delo, founder of Maybrooks.com, a community for working moms, and Diana Rothschild, founder of NextKids (part of NextSpace), a coworking space that includes on-site infant and toddler care, will share inspiring examples of how women in tech are breaking the rules to do interesting work and still have a life (!), and how the tech industry is poised to lead the rest of corporate America in this effort.
Our core conversation will include plenty of audience input and dialogue, and special guests!
Join Deloitte leaders, including Paul Clemmons, Deloitte Consulting LLP principal and Emerging Technologies Service Line Leader, and cloud experts in a social atmosphere to discuss the latest trends in Enterprise Cloud applications. Learn about the new cloud stack, and how it will accelerate business to the cloud!
