A viewing revolution is afoot and video has hit the ground running. Nearly everyone is streaming and now a shift in public sentiment towards on-demand gratification is making traditional viewing habits a thing of the past. And as players like Netflix successfully throw their hats in the content-creation ring, viewers are presented with more options than ever before -- making it increasingly important to develop a solid distribution strategy in order to win eyeballs.
In this dual presentation, Ed Lee, VP of Content Acquisition at Roku, and Ran Harnevo, SVP of Video at AOL, will discuss how content has evolved on digital platforms and how the rise of new technologies has changed the way we think about video. Specifically, they will speak to changing trends in the industry, what it takes to stay relevant and up-to-date on evolving consumer behaviors (like binge-watching, for example), and why we need to stop using the word “online” in front of “video.”
