Join us for this interesting free meet up on Big Data: what is it really, how to leverage big data for commercial success, and how to do this with respect for privacy.

We’ve invited three interesting speakers from Austin, New York and London who are operating on the forefront of Big Data, each from a different angle, but all with the human / psychology perspective on this hot topic. All are SXSW speakers from 2013 and 2014: now you will have a chance to hear them up close and personal in a smaller setting, and have a chance for actual Q & A.

  • Amadeus Stevenson (Head of Technology, Decoded on Big data through a demystifying lens: what is it really? where did the term come from? what are the skills/ways of thinking needed to tackle it?
  • Bryan Eisenberg digital marketing expert and professional speaker, on the Mad men of search: How search algorithms have evolved over time, how you can leverage big data, what tools are available and how to act on big data insights in real time.
  • Joseph Galarneau (CEO and Chairman Mezzobit ) on why there needs to be more balance regarding data on the Internet: greater respect for both the ownership of the entities creating the data, as well as respect for consumer privacy.
  • Moderated by Erwin Blom, Dutch Internet journalist and Founder of Fast Moving Targets.

The meet up is free, but registration is necessary. Only registered guests will be allowed into the Dutch Base starting 4:15 Pm on Sunday March 9.

This meetup is part of the Dutch Today program in the Dutch Base, organized by several organizations in the Netherlands.
