Curation Is the Cure for Information Overload

We live in a world of data overload. When it comes to keeping up with the news, people don't want more content – they want what they need to know. To stay current and up to date, people need distilled, coherent information – not unfiltered feeds.
News curation is on the rise because it advances the understanding of news and offers context with convenience. With ever increasing news sources, people crave an independent broker to select the best stories and present them in easy-to-consume news bites. By combining the wisdom of human editors and the power of technology, it's possible to deliver richer and smarter news faster than ever.
In addition, curating news coverage from across the media spectrum is in demand as people have become more aware of a bias in the media and are therefore interested in understanding the nuances in reporting from various sources.
This session will discuss how curation is the cure for information overload and how it applies to both text and video.
