The idea that technology can revolutionize STEM education is not new. However, research suggests that some of the emerging new technologies, software, and platforms available have been shown to change the way students and teachers learn. Some of the latest technologies (3D printing, augmented reality and gamification) and the integration of the Arts into STEM education have made STEM culturally relevant and meaningful. One area the technologies have shown the greatest impact is among underrepresented minorities and girls who perceive STEM as intimidating, boring or irrelevant to their life. Learn how adopting these educational technologies has revolutionized the way students perceive, understand and apply STEM to their everyday lives. See examples of how these technologies are currently being used at SciTech Kids and Project SYNCERE and its impact in children.
