Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

So you're coming to town for SXSW and you're worried about staying active while spending the weekend mixing and mingling and eating BBQ? Not to worry my friend - City Running Tours has you covered!

Get out of your hotel or Airbnb and come see Austin on foot, before your day gets too crazy. We'll be taking runners of all paces out for a casual run in the morning to will give them a little better sense of what keeps Austin so weird.

On this run (which is about 3.5 miles) we'll explore the landmarks and historical markers that make up Texas's Capital City. Austin is a relic of the Old West but the city has grown by leaps and bounds to become a beacon of technology and progressiveness in the South. We'll visit Lady Bird Lake, Austin's Capitol building, the Driskill Hotel and various other historical sites, while investigating Austin's new tech industry, green initiatives, and cutting edge architecture.

Registration gets you a running tour and a bottle of water. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a race! This is a casual 5K running tour.
