The days of counting CD sales to measure an artist’s success are long gone. The number of options that are available for people to listen to and engage with their favorite artists has skyrocketed in the past five years, bringing music consumption to an all time high. The landscape is continuously evolving and as a result, so must the definition of success. Sales, radio airplay and streaming activity are connected, and the industry can better utilize these relationships to measure success.
