Recent reports blame social media for contributing to the increasing number of single parent homes, but there is data, in fact, Facebook—along with Skype, mobile phones, and other social collaborative tools that are keeping strengthening families - even parents that live in separate homes. This panel will open up the discussion of the growing epidemic of single-parent homes and how social media/technology impacts the family triangle - mother/father/children. We will have a guest panel of four parents (from diverse backgrounds) that are actively engaged in their communities and marrying technology with parenting in the fight to build stronger family and community. We will briefly discuss what social media/technology has done to damage our family and then we will discuss current and up and coming technologies that are changing the game of parenting. If you are a parent and geeked about how technology is being leveraged the better parenthood, you will want to attend this panel.
