@Andia Winslow, Yale alumna and host of The Fit Cycle, is both a Professional Golfer and a passionate Certified Fitness Professional. She believes that "the best experiences are those that are shared" and is known for her creation of innovative training programs and fitness movies that encourage healthy consumption, injury prevention and total athletic development. Her work has been made further popular by features in Forbes, Shape Magazine, Heart & Soul Magazine, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Health Magazine, CNN Health, Weight Watchers, on ESPN.com and on Mashable.com which, with more than 40 million hits per month is the "top news source in social and digital media, technology and web culture." En Route Workout, her most recent fitness film, has been selected for inclusion in the American Heart Association's "National Wear Red Day" 10 Year Anniversary celebration and educational campaign. A formidable competitor who mirrored her professional athlete relatives as a youngster, Andia’s experience in fitness --as a profession-- began as an elite athlete training with USA Track & Field under Jesse Owens Olympic Hall of Fame Coach Brooks Johnson. In April 2006, she became only the fourth African American to ever compete in a Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour event and has been called "the most athletic and fit woman in all of professional golf." When not competing, Andia serves as a seasonal Teaching Professional and Fitness Trainer at Chelsea Piers, the world renown athletic and entertainment facility in New York City, New York. She was recently tapped by Black Ice Concept to compete for the USA Bobsled & Skeleton Federation. In the Winter months, Andia relocates to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY to train in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and beyond. In the meantime, as a wellness advocate and ambassador for the Women’s Sports Foundation, Andia is committed to her work that encourages youth and adults to maintain healthy and active lifestyles. When not on the course, on the track, or in the gym, she can be found furthering her crafts as an artist, published author, philanthropist and working model. Visit her website and TheFitCycle.
